Cinema therapy (sometimes referred to as cinetherapy) is the use of film and TV for improved well-being — and it actually can do just that for some. Cinematic stories can help people to find catharsis in laughter and tears, hope and encouragement from the experiences of others, and a rediscovery of one’s own strengths.
